A Warm February Wedding at Soli Deo Gloria | Fort Worth Wedding Photography

Set on a warm February Saturday, Sierra and Christian celebrated their Soli Deo Gloria in Decatur, TX wedding surrounded by their closest people. The day felt effortless in the best way. Nothing was rushed, nothing was forced—it was a laid-back, love-filled day where everything unfolded naturally and right on time.

A Romantic, Relaxed Kind of Love

Sierra and Christian are the kind of couple that make my job feel easy. They’re playful, tender, and deeply connected. Their chemistry isn’t something you have to force for photos – it just is.

Their day carried that same energy. Romantic, but relaxed. No stress, no chaos – just sunshine, good vibes, and a whole lot of love.

The Venue: A Hidden Gem in North Texas

Tucked among the trees, Soli Deo Gloria feels like a quiet escape.

The white chapel features floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. When the windows open, the space feels even bigger while still keeping its intimate charm. Outside, trees wrapped in twinkling string lights create a soft, whimsical feel – especially after sunset.

Couples love this venue for its intimate setting and convenience. The reception hall sits just steps away, so the entire day flows easily from one space to the next.

Portraits: Light, Mood, and Everything In Between

We used both indoor and outdoor spaces for portraits, which gave us a dynamic mix of images.

Inside the chapel, natural light created soft, romantic portraits. Sierra’s bridal photos were some of my favorites from the day.

That night, we shifted into something moodier. Under the trees, with string lights glowing behind them, we captured more cinematic images. I backlit them to create that soft bokeh – and I’m obsessed with how those turned out.

A Day That Felt Effortless

What stood out most was how relaxed everything felt. The day stayed small, intentional, and centered on the people who mattered most.

Instead of a packed dance floor, guests spent the evening mingling and talking. It felt more like a gathering than a production, which fit Sierra and Christian perfectly.

I gave direction when needed, but they were mostly natural in front of the camera. When a couple is that in sync, it shows in every frame.
