Let’s go on a little journey shall we. I want to take you back to Taylor + Reid’s downtown Fort Worth engagement session, photographed at Sundance Square and the Tarrant County Courthouse – two iconic locations for engagement photos in Fort Worth, Texas!

I’ll keep this short so I don’t take up too much of your viewing pleasure, but before we dive in, there are a few things I’d love to share about this session.

A Relaxed, Natural Engagement Session in Fort Worth

First things first: this couple (like all of my couples, because I’m lucky like that 😉) were absolutely adorable and completely head over heels in love. Like many clients booking their engagement photos, they mentioned they were “a little awkward in front of the camera.” And, like many of my sessions, that couldn’t have been further from the truth.

While I love using gentle prompts to guide couples into natural movement and connection, Taylor + Reid needed very little direction. They were simply vibing together the entire afternoon. Their connection felt easy, calming and safe. It’s hard to put into words, but when people are meant for each other, you can just ✨feel it✨. Their interactions said everything.

Taylor + Reid’s Downtown Adventure

We met on a warm, late-spring afternoon, the kind that often brings rain to the Fort Worth area. Even though the forecast showed low chances, Fort Worth weather did what it does best and it started raining.

And honestly? It was so beautiful.

We ran across the street to take cover under the entryway at Bass Hall, but as we were wrapping up the session and heading back to the car, I wanted to fully embrace the moment. I asked if they’d be open to shooting in the rain, and without hesitation, they were both in.

What followed felt straight out of a romantic movie: kissing under the pouring rain, running along the sidewalk, laughing, and being playful together. It was a dream scenario for this DFW engagement photographer, and such a fun experience for all of us to share!
