This Adriatica Village anniversary session was basically wedding portraits, round two – just without the timeline, wedding-day nerves, or the general stress that comes with the big day.

These two have known each other since middle school. They both went on to become nurses, and now they’re officially one year into marriage. 🥹

So for their anniversary, they pulled their wedding clothes back out and met me at Adriatica Village on a Saturday evening! We spent golden hour doing the fun part all over again: taking pretty photos together. ❤︎⁠

And, I gotta say, I love this idea! You already found the dress and bought the suit. You felt amazing in them.

One of the best parts about doing portraits like this after the wedding is that there’s no timeline breathing down your neck. There’s no ceremony to get to, no reception waiting, and no guests wondering where you disappeared to.

We could just wander around, stop wherever the light looked pretty, and make the most of golden hour!

Adriatica Village already has such a romantic feel with the stone architecture, pathways, and waterfront views. Add warm light, wedding attire, and two people in love, and it made for a pretty sweet anniversary session.

There’s also something I love about photographing couples in their wedding clothes after they’ve actually been married for a little while: same people, and same outfits – just one more year of life together behind them. 😊
